On our downriver cruise on the Aqua Mekong, we visit Koh Oknha Tey – a beautiful island along the Mekong River. We will board local “Tuk-Tuks” to explore these islands commonly known as the “silk islands” due to their longstanding tradition of silk weaving.

We visit one of these villages where the weavers allow us to wander among their looms, admiring their skills at this knotty art form.

Our guests witness the entire silk weaving process, learning how silk starts with the silk worms, see silk thread being looped and dyed, then admire and purchase the beautiful Cambodian silk fabrics, the final shimmering Khmer silk accessories.
