Bearded Seal
Summary
Bearded seals are often seen resting on drifting ice in quiet bays like SamarinvÄgen. Recognizable by their long whiskers and broad, square snouts, they are usually solitary and spend much of their time diving for bottom-dwelling fish and invertebrates. Slow-moving and cautious, they are well adapted to life in the icy Arctic waters.
