With flattened tails and paddle-like tails, sea snakes are agile swimmers, capable of diving to impressive depths in search of prey, primarily fish and eels. Unlike their terrestrial counterparts, sea snakes rely on specialized glands to excrete excess salt, enabling them to thrive in saltwater environments.
