Hawksbill Turtles
Summary
Named for their bird-like beaks, the Hawksbill turtle is a critically endangered species that inhabits the world’s coastal waters. Despite being highly migratory, the Seychelles archipelago holds a special significance to these animals, being one of only three places in the world where they would lay their eggs during the day. While an encounter is rare, it’s not out of the question on our Seychelles cruise, especially during their nesting season from October to March.
