Pygmy Seahorses
Summary
The smallest of their kind, pygmy seahorses measure under 2 cm in height. They can be quite challenging to spot, however, with the help of a magnifying glass and our expert dive guides, guests on our Raja Ampat cruises may well encounter these magnificent creatures.

What makes pygmy seahorses particularly fascinating is their incredible camouflage, which allows them to blend seamlessly with their coral surroundings. Their bodies often mimic the color and texture of the coral they inhabit. Some species even have skin appendages resembling the polyps of their host corals, further enhancing their camouflage.
